Meet The Doctors
Dr. Hai Pham and the entire staff at Hi5 Dentistry for Kids in Portland, look forward to meeting you and your child. We offer two locations to our community, and currently have patients traveling to see us from the Oregon Coast, Portland, Beaverton, Tigard, Hillsboro and Forest Grove. You'll be amazed by how much your children will actually have fun, become educated about their dental health, and will want to come back to visit us.
Hai Pham, DMD Dr. Pham treats every child as an individual and takes pride in creating positive experiences that will last a lifetime. He understands first hand what it means to be a patient, while going through his Pediatric Residency he was also battling cancer. This experience has helped him provide even better care to our patients.
Dr. Pham earned his dental degree from Oregon Health & Science University in 2006. He then completed his Pediatric Dental residency at Doernbecher Children’s Hospital and Oregon Health & Science University in 2009.
Dr. Pham received OHSU’s first Early Career Achievement Award for his contributions to the community and dental profession.
Dr. Pham is currently the Pediatric Section Chair at Randall’s Children Hospital, Oregon’s Delegate for the American Dental Association and also is on the Board of Directors for the Dental Foundation a non-profit charity which helps provide free dental care to children. He has been the past President for the Oregon Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and Washington County Dental Society.
He has staff privileges at Doernbecher Children’s Hospital, Randall Children’s Hospital, St. Vincent and also Kaiser Interstate Day Surgery Center.
Dr. Pham currently resides in Hillsboro and in his spare time he enjoys spending time with his family, the great outdoors, the amazing food scene Portland has to offer and giving lectures on Pediatric Dentistry to other health care professionals.

Jenette Intrachat, DDSDr. Jenette Intrachat grew up in Seattle, Washington, and graduated from the University of Washington with a BS degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology, and a minor in Chemistry in 2003. She then attended the'University of Washington School of Dentistry and graduated in 2007 with a DDS degree. After dental school, Dr. Intrachat worked as a general dentist for five years, 3 years in Seattle, Washington and 2 years in Philadelphia, PA, working primarily with adolescents and children.
In 2012, she then came to Portland, Oregon to attend Oregon Health and Science University to pursue a specialty residency program in pediatric dentistry. Dr. Intrachat graduated with specialty certificate as a pediatric dentist in 2014. She is an active member of the'Oregon Dental Association, the American Dental Association, Oregon Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, and American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. Intrachat enjoys volunteering in community dental clinics, participates in Medical Team International dental vans, and travels internationally to provide dental care to those in need. Her favorite activities include running, tennis, cornhole, pickle ball, biking, and spending time with her family and friends. |
Grace Shao-Chiu Chen, DMD, MSEducation and Continuing Education
Dr. Grace Shao-Chiu Chen, graduated summa cum laude from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston in 2005. She then received a one-year oral surgery internship training at Boston Medical Center. After that, Dr. Grace Shao-Chiu Chen, worked as a general dentist. In 2010, Dr. Grace Shao-Chiu Chen, completed her orthodontic residency training from Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry and received her Certificate in Orthodontics and Master of Science degree.
Dr. Grace Shao-Chiu Chen is a board certified orthodontist by the American Board of Orthodontics. She is committed to the highest level of patient care including a comprehensive treatment approach to ensure quality work. She regularly attends continuing education courses and reads orthodontic journals in order to stay up-to-dates on the newest, most innovative ways to create beautiful smiles for her patients.

Jessica Irwin, DMD
Education and Continuing Education
Dr. Jessica Irwin grew up in Corvallis, Oregon, and graduated from the University of Portland with a BS degree in Biology in 2009. She then attended Oregon Health and Sciences University School of Dentistry and graduated with great honor in 2013 with a DMD degree. After graduating and getting married, Dr. Irwin moved to join her husband in Bradenton, Florida. She worked there as a general dentist for three years, a time that provided valuable experience and helped solidified her desire to pursue speciality training in Pediatrics.
In 2016 she moved back to Portland to attend OHSU to complete a specialty residency program in pediatric dentistry. Dr. Irwin graduated with specialty certificate as a pediatric dentist in 2018. She is an active member of the Oregon Association of Pediatric Dentistry, the Oregon Dental Association, the American Dental Association and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. Irwin chose pediatrics for the opportunity to make coming to the dentist at a young age a fun and positive experience, and to help create healthy habits that will last a lifetime. Her favorite activities include playing with her two young children, running, hot yoga, cooking and spending time with family and friends exploring the beautiful Pacific Northwest. |
Edward Pham, DMD
Education and Continuing Education
Dr. Edward Pham received his doctorate in dental medicine (DMD) degree from Oregon Health & Science School of Dentistry in 2022. There, he was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society and received the AAPD Certificate of Merit Predoctoral Student Award, for outstanding promise in the field of Pediatric Dentistry. He then completed his Pediatric Dentistry specialty training at the OHSU School of Dentistry and Doernbecher Children’s Hospital in 2024. During his specialty training, he found a passion for working with children with special health care needs, providing specialized dental care in the hospital setting, and being part of multidisciplinary teams to help take care of children with medical complexities. The most rewarding aspect in his career thus far is the unique connections he builds with families and reshaping his young patients’ perspectives about coming to the dentist! In his free time, Dr. Edward enjoys exploring the many unique restaurants and food carts in the Portland metro area.
